I’m just a typical guy who wanted to impress my girl. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with flowers for her birthday and I wanted it to be delivered to her work in San Leandro. What I did was call all the local florist located in San Leandro. Then I found out that the average starting price was $55, plus a $12 delivery rate. Ouch! Yes, although would love to support local independent shops, that price is kind of expensive for me. I already bought her a present and planning a dinner that night. Come to think of it, I can’t really afford it that.
So what I did was I went with 1-800-flowers instead. They have this online chat and I spoke with an agent who helped me make sure that it got delivered the next day for her birthday.
Fortunately, they have this "available the same day" flowers. What I like about it is that it’s it comes prearranged (and not in a box) and by a local florist (and not by fex-ex or ups).
Then, I found a coupon code online for 20% off. That’s a whole lot of savings already, don’t you think? I end up only paying $35, a lot lesser that what the local florists were offering.
And as agreed upon, the flowers were delivered to my girlfriend’s house on the day of her birthday. My girlfriend texted me saying she was so happy about it.
